How Do Face Shields Help?
A new study was released this week that described “transmission in a community setting before and after the use of face shields.”
The study compared the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 before and after the introduction of face shields. When 62 workers without face shields visited the homes of infected people, 12 of them became infected.
When 50 workers with face shields visited several homes, not one of them developed an asymptomatic or symptomatic infection.

The workers who did wear the face shields, were, of course, wearing other PPE.
At Safe Shields, we know that staying home, avoiding large gatherings, not touching your face, and washing your hands is the best-known way to avoid getting sick. But we also believe our shields have a strong purpose.
As people go back to work, we hope that wearing a face shield will help them follow the new safety protocols.
